Preamble
A. As part of the normal operation of Tandem Lawnmowers Australia Pty Ltd’s (“Tandem”) website www.mowerstore.com.au (the “Site”), Tandem collects, uses and in some circumstances discloses information about you to third parties.
B. This Privacy Policy governs the information Tandem collects about you, how Tandem uses and discloses the information, the quality and security of the information and your access to the information.
C. By accepting and agreeing to this Privacy Policy and the Terms and Conditions, you expressly consent to Tandem’s use and disclosure of your information in accordance with the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy.
1. Collection of information
1.1 Persons under the age of 18 years are not eligible to use Tandem’s services or create and operate a Member Account. Tandem requests that such persons do not submit any personal information.
1.2 Tandem collects personal information to provide you with an efficient, safe and secure online resource and Member Account for purchasing its products.
1.3 Before purchasing a product, you will need to register as a Member using the online registration form
where you will be required to provide Tandem with the following information:
(1) your full name;
(2) email address;
(3) street address;
(4) city;
(5) state;
(6) post code;
(7) phone number;
and
(8) password
1.4 In addition to the above information, Tandem may automatically track information about you when you
use the Site. This information may include your:
(1) IP Address;
(2) browser type;
(3) pages viewed;
(4) URL of the next website visited;
(5) URL of the previous website visited;
(6) operating system; and
(7) time of visit to the Site.
1.5 Tandem may also collect information from personal correspondence you send Tandem, such as e-mails and letters.
2. Use of information
2.1 Tandem uses personal information about you to:
(1) contact you and provide you with information relevant to your use of the Site;
(2) conduct internal research regarding users’ demographics, interests and behaviours;
(3) improve the content and layout of the Site;
(4) improve our services;
(5) tailor our marketing and promotion of the Site;

(8) respond to complaints about the Site and/or service;
(9) enforce the Terms and Conditions; and

2.2 By accepting the Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy you expressly agree to receiving information from Tandem regarding your use of the Site.

3.1 Your personal information will not be disclosed.
3.2 Tandem does not sell or rent any personal information about you to any third party.
3.3 Notwithstanding the above, your personal information may be used in the creation of aggregate data (personal information gathered from all users) for promotional and marketing purposes.
3.4 Aggregate data may be disclosed to third parties; however the aggregate data will only contain nonpersonal identifiable information and cannot be used to identify you personally.
3.5 Notwithstanding the above, Tandem may disclose your personal information in order to comply with the provisions of the Privacy Act 1988 and the National Privacy Principles as detailed in the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000.
4. Data Quality
4.1 Following the creation of your Member Account, you can review and change your personal information
including your:
(1) email address;
(2) street address;
(3) city;
(4) state;
(5) post code;
(6) country;
(7) phone number; and
(8) password.
4.2 You must promptly update your personal information if it changes.
5. Data Security
5.1 You are solely responsible for any and all activities which occur under your Member Account and password.
5.2 You agree to keep your password confidential and to take all necessary steps to prevent unauthorised use of your Member Account.
5.3 You agree to notify Tandem promptly if you have any reason to believe that the security of your Member Account has been compromised.
5.4 Your personal information is stored on Tandem’s server located in Brisbane, Australia.
5.5 Tandem takes all reasonable steps and conforms to normal industry standards in the protection of your personal information through the use of firewalls and restricted access.
6. Access to Information
6.1 You can access your personal information at any time by providing Tandem with a written request to disclose the information. The notice can be sent via e-mail or post.
6.2 Notwithstanding clause 6.1, Tandem reserves the right to refuse to disclose your personal information in order to comply with National Privacy Principle 6 as detailed in the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000.
7. Amendments
7.1 Tandem can amend this Privacy Policy by posting the amended terms on the Site.
7.2 The amended terms shall automatically be effective 30 days after they are initially posted on the Site.
7.3 This Privacy Policy may not otherwise be amended except in writing signed by you and Tandem.
